#470 - conch shell horn

Have you ever heard a conch shell...seriously, so cool and so loud, even the US Coast Guard approves it as a sound making device.

I bought this for my parents in Hawaii over 12 years ago (really has it been that long?!) and I think I only paid $20 at the time.  While we were visiting my parents home a couple of weeks ago, it was so much fun to sit on the porch and try to make this work.  Only my dad can really get the deep rich sound from the horn.

Makes me want to get one for my house someday...you know, to call the kids to dinner :)
