#119 - Papasan Chair aka Baby O's gym
Papasan chair = very comfortable.
Turn it over = climbing gym for Baby O.
I took this pic last month when I was trying to make a pseudo gate to keep Baby O contained. He decided to defy me and used it as his own personal climbing structure. I couldn't stop him cause he was too cute...ahhh...he's got my heart!

#115 - 2 Hats
My Saturday started and ended with a hat.I went to Toys R' Us with Baby O (Pepe was doing his homework). Look what I found in the clearance section? I was too cheap to buy it (and really you can't wear a St. Patty's hat year round), so I snapped a pic in the store. (I have a thing for making Baby O try on hats in stores.)
I took a pic of him in this jeep, because maybe looking back on his life he'll think we really got him this toy. We are such great parents :) If you don't tell, I won't (wink, wink.)Then we headed over to Costco to meet up with my in-laws. We got hotdogs and buns for a cookout. We had Hebrew Nationals (not sure if HN's or Nathan's are the best?) Which do you like? My niece is sportin her mom's glasses to keep the smoke out of her eyes (smart cookie).
My nephew made a yummy s'more, a minature Crunch bar split in half with a roasted marshmallow in the center (another smart cookie.)
At the end of the day, Pepe had to drop off a gift at a wedding reception (I stayed home with Baby O). He had to whip out his cowboy hat for this event.
My boys (Pepe would want me to call him a man) sure look great in hats.
(then I made these and had to give them away because they were so yummy.)
#114 - I told him I'd blog about this

An exhaustive study of police records shows that no woman has ever shot her husband while he was doing the dishes.--Earl Wilson (1907-1987)

Friday night I went to church for a dinner that was just for women. The men were supposed to serve the dinner and then clean up. Well only 3 men were there (Pepe being one of them.) One guy was doing some technical stuff, one guy was watching his kids and well, Pepe ended up doing the dishes (hand washing apx 40 plates, 100+ utensils). I snuck out in the middle just so I could watch him. What a lovely site!

#113 - Taking the Stage
Not usually a fan of MTV, but loved this show. Even Pepe loved it, ok maybe he just liked it, but still it's hard for us to agree on our tv viewing.
OK, since I work in tv, I get that people ham it up for the camera and some things are faked. That being said, it's refreshing to see a show (think Step Up) about talent (with some love stories intertwined) and less about who's wearing what and/or people cheating around.
Did anyone else see this?

#111 - Four Leaf Clovers
I found 2 once when I was little.
I kept them for a long time (they may even still be around pressed into one of my books.)
They made me lucky.
Lucky to have such a wonderful hubby (who gave me a back rub last for at least 10 minutes, maybe 15 (this is progress folks) because I was having a rough day)
Lucky to have an adorable little son (who makes me so proud to be a mom)
Lucky to have all my friends and family (I love you guys!)
Have you ever found a four leaf clover?

#110 - Haircut - or is it hairs cut?
Pepe gets his hair cut a only couple times a year (to save time and money).
When we were first married we bought hair clippers to save money. One cut later, he vowed to never let me cut his hair again. It wasn't that bad. But I digress.
This weekend, we went out as a family for this semi-annual event.
It was a rainy day.
We (Baby O and I) dropped Pepe off at the barber shop and headed of to H&M. I made Baby O try on this hat below . . . I'm sure the workers were thinking, "who is this crazy lady taking pictures in here . . . just buy the hat for crying out loud." (I'm waiting for the sale, isn't it cute?)We went back and picked up Pepe sporting his new, shorter cut.
(I like it, but I miss his longer hair.) after
We then went to the wig shop, so Baby O didn't feel left out (hair wise.)Pepe wanted to celebrate (are you supposed to celebrate haircuts?) with a soft serve from DQ.(sorry we ate them before I could get a good pic)
Which one do you think it mine & which one is Pepe's? And which one did Baby O see and start screaming because he wanted one too?

#109 - Cupcakes
My brother said that I talk too much about food on this blog (sorry), but after reading this blog, I really want to go to Georgetown Cupcake or make these at home.
Speaking of cupcakes, my favorite cupcake I have ever had was this past Valentines. Pepe and I shared a pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese frosty from Cake Love.
I also had some great mini-cupcakes from Dots in California when I was out there on a business trip last year.
And speaking of California, I'm going to be there in a few weeks and if I get some free time, maybe I'll try this tour here.
Tell me, do you like cupcakes? What's your favorite flavor?
here's another fun cupcake blog

#107 - mobile device
Today, way back in 1876 - Alexander Graham Bell made the first successful call with the telephone. What were the first words he spoke? (answer at the end of this post)
I love this mobile device.
It was Pepe's when we first started dating almost 6 years ago (lots of good conversations were had on this phone...has it really been that long?)
It is now Baby O's toy (notice the bite marks?...we bribe him with it when he wants one of our cell phones.)
I know it looks a bit on the larger side, but they really don't make mobile devices as sturdy as they used to.
A: He said, "Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you." (what would you have said?)

#104 - love this commercial
It's an oldie (as in last year), but a goodie. It's called, Rewind from Match.com. I think I liked it so much because I was preggers with Baby O when it started airing.
p.s. still trying to figure out how to post video...how do you do it?

#103 - Banana Bread with a Surprise
Banana Bread with a Surprise
3-4 ripe bananas
1 cup sugar (I did 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup brown)
1/2 cup butter, room temp
2 eggs, well beaten
2 cups flour (I did 1 cup white and 7/8 cup whole wheat)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup walnuts (I added a little more cause they're good for the heart)
Mash 3 bananas, set aside. In large bowl cream sugar and butter together. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas. Stir in flour, baking soda and baking powder. Then stir in nuts. Place in greased pan (I made these in 8 small loaf pans). For the surprise, I broke off about a 1/2 - 1 inch piece of banana and pushed it down into the center of each little loaf.
Bake 350 degrees F for 25 minutes, reduce heat to 275 and bake for 10-20 minutes.
So I gave one to Pepe and told him there was a surprise in the bread. He looked at me confused and said, having a banana in banana bread isn't a surprise . . . wah, wah. :) I tried.
3/10/09 - I made this again, but added 1 cup of walnuts, only 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour, and double the bananas (3 bananas mashed and 3 of the bananas cut into chunks (didn't mash).) This was even better than the first recipe.

#100 - Didn't know I could love this so much . . . blogging
I've been agonizing for a few days over what would be my "#100" post. We'll I just got tagged twice and I realized how much I love blogging. So here goes:Tag #1 - From Kristina - my horseshoe cousin - 6th Folder, 6th Photo
My 6th Folder only had 3 photos in them, so I decided to do the "spin the globe and point your finger on a place that you are going to live someday" (remember that game?)
I scrolled down on my photos and I had Pepe say stop. The picture above is the one I landed on.

This is a picture of Baby O in our basement playing. He's wearing his outfit backwards.
I tag Casi, Rachael, mom, Manda and anyone else that would like to do this.
