#246 - Clever Homemade Halloween Costumes

I ran across these costume ideas. I love the "401k Portfolio" idea above and my favorite is the "H1N1 Vaccine" below. And they are all homemade! I think these would be good costumes for adults too.
Here's how to make the H1N1 costume:

For the syringe, find a plastic trash can large enough to slide over your head and shoulders.

Remove the bottom and cut two holes in the side for your arms.

Cover the can with white paper and make syringe gradations with black tape or a marker.

Add a bottom rim made of poster board or construction paper.

For the needle, stick a dowel into the narrow end of a funnel.

Attach string that can be tied under your chin as with a hat.

#245 - surfing on the vacuum

Baby O loves the vacuum . . . he literally screams and cries when I turn it off. Hopefully that doesn't change when he gets older.

#242 - Ice Cream Truck

Hello, who wouldn't love to own an ice cream truck? Pepe and I have been in the market for a used car and we ran across this ad. I was a little tempted to get it (or at least go look at it). . . look at all the features it has:

My sister had a ice cream cart this summer, maybe she could take it up a notch next summer???

#241 - Quiet Book circa late 1970's

My mom made me a quiet book when I was little and I have great memories from it. In fact, all my brothers and sisters used it (I think). Any way, my mom sent it to Baby O and he loves it. His favorite is the ladybug zipper.
If you want to make a quiet book, there's some cute ideas here, here, here, here, and here.

Thanks Mom!

#240 - Moon in My Room

We recently got a moon for Baby O's room. It is actually part of his night time routine now. We put it on the setting that goes through the moon phases (sliver, half, full). It gives the room some nice ambiance.

(ps...I got a deal b/c I bought it through work, but you can get this cheaper at Walmart.)

#239 - Ben's Chili Bowl

Some random girl was doing a handstand while I was trying to take a pic :)

If you visit DC, you should definitely stop by Ben's Chili Bowl.

#238 - Early Halloween

Baby O got Halloween socks from his Aunt Cathy, and I'm not joking, he brought them to me to put them on. He loved them! They are cute! (he's climbing on water bottles in this picture, so his sock is falling off)
Then we broke out his monkey Halloween costume from last year and he was so fascinated by the feed and tail. I don't think I ever noticed the bottom's of the feet before. Aren't they cute!?

#237 - Roll ups

These are great! I love that they are whole wheat and only 110 calories.

I eat them all different ways.

With Indian food - I pretend it is Naan

Roll up peanut butter and bananas

Roll up peanut butter and cucumbers

Roll up cream cheese and cucumbers

Good stuff!

#236 - Toddler Daily News

If you know me, you know that I really just want to be a stay at home mom. However, it's not possible right now. Luckily, I work for a great boss who is flexible with my schedule and I have a great sitter - my sister in law - who watches Baby O a few days a week.

One of the little treasures I look forward to when I get home from work (besides hugs and kisses from O) is Toddler Daily News. I love to see what he's been up to for the day!
