#60 - Parmesan Crusted Sandwich


My Aunt Heather made the best sandwich for me last April when I was in Utah visiting. It was a grilled turkey with parmesan grilled onto the outside of the bread. I decided to try to replicate it yesterday and it was actually pretty good. Here's the ingredients for my sandwich:

- two slices of flax seed, whole grain bread
- one wedge of Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese spread out onto both sides of the bread (keeps the sandwich moist, adds a cheesy flavor and it only has 35 calories.)
- thin layer of pesto
- slices of turkey
- tomato slices
- avocado
- parmesan (stuff in the can) grilled onto the outside

Make the sandwich like you'd make a grilled cheese, but when you spread butter onto the outside of the bread, sprinkle a layer of parmesan cheese onto it (I sort of pushed it into the bread too because I didn't want to use too much butter to hold it on.)

Grill on both sides and enjoy! This tastes so good!

That sounds really good! I would like that sandwhich without the tomato and avacado please... You can feel free to make if for me when ever you'd like. :)
