i'd really like to get my hands on one of these shirts...(i saw these shirts on Cup of Jo)

it would make breast feeding (did I just say that word on my blog?) so much easier!

since they don't sell them close to me, do you think i could make one?

cousin Lauren help! (she's an awesome fashion designer)

these 2 shirts and onesies above are cute too...

1st one says, "pacifist" on the onesie and "pacifier" on the mommy's shirt

2nd one says, "food now" on the onesie and "fast food" on the mommy's shirt

#490 - pregnant mom costumes

I've never been pregnant during Halloween (at least enough to show), but since my sister and 3 of my sister in laws are pregnant I thought that I would post these costume ideas for them!
just a small disclaimer:  if i ever was that pregnant during halloween...no way i could ever pull off these awesome baby bump costumes!
This smores halloween costume could be perfect if you were pregnant or not!

#489 - busy baby feet

Life is flying by so fast...

please...

slow...

down!

When did my newborn become a 3.5 month old?!

When did Oster learn to finally get out of his crib?!

Where did the summer go?!

Come back!

This summer:

I was hoping to get a whole bunch of bills organized and scheduled...I didn't (I just have a huge stack of papers moving around our living room)

I was hoping to finish a few of the 5-6 wedding videos I've shot...I didn't (I'm almost done with 2)

I was hoping to lose some baby weight...I didn't really (I was down 10 lbs, then gained 8 lbs back)

I was hoping to hang up some pictures...nope, didn't happen...still bare walls

I was hoping to sew some baby blankets...nada...fall project now!

But you know what I did do:

Started making lunches for Pepe to take to work and make dinner most days of the week (huge accomplishment for me)

Talked with my mom and sister almost daily (love it!)

And most important...Loved my baby boys (and my one big boy)...just enjoyed them...gave them lots of kisses and love!

#488 - treats from England

One of the great benefits of having family living in England, is the yummy British treats they send!

There's something about Cadbury Chocolate from England that just tastes so much better!
 And the Caramel Digestive Biscuts...to...die...for...

Kinder Treats...such a clever idea!

Thanks Fro!  (sorry, meant to post this a while ago)

#461 - Huckleberry picking

Do you know what a huckleberry is?
Sort of like a blueberry, but a little more tart and smaller.
It's also the state fruit of Idaho.

We just went huckleberry picking, they grow in the wild near my parents' home.
Oster ate every one that he picked, plus some of mine.
We've had huckleberry pancakes and huckleberry shakes.

If you live near or are visiting a place with huckleberries, I highly recommend picking them...so delicious!

ps...my brother took the picture above

#460 - home after 1.5 years

i've been MIA for the past week or so...

we were driving across the country...
to visit my family...
left thursday at 9pm...
arrived monday at 12:30am...
2,457 miles...
2 kids...
one 2 year old...
one 2 month old...
one dead raccoon...

i spent 90% of the time trying to keep the kids entertained...
-tried watching movies...the only thing that worked was the song, You Are My Sunshine with the psychedelic computer lazers/lights that light up when the music played (you know what i'm talking about?)
-we "caught trucks" (Pepe would pass a semi and then the truck would be caught)
-i said, "look at the tree", "look at the sign", "look at the birds", etc, every 3 seconds for at least 10-20 hours
-Oster took over 200 pictures of the back seat
-read a few books
-i nursed Parker every 2 hours or so...lots of stopping

i can't believe it has been 1.5 years since i've visited...
SO GOOD TO BE HOME!

ps...i have a ton of pictures to post, but my internet access is way too slow

mowed the lawn (well, Pepe mowed most of it, but I was using the push mower so I got more exercise)

church, but spent most the time nursing or walking around wearing the Moby Wrap (Parker in tow)

made banana pudding (pictured above) (more on this later)

halfway cleaned Oster's room

and had an awesome cousin birthday party...(more on this later)

#449 - talking refrigerator = 2 picnics

Oster has a cool toy that talks to him in a French accent.  One thing it says is, "will you help us pack our picnic basket?"
So lately, Oster has been asking to go on picnics.  Not sure if he totally grasps the concept, because sometimes he'll just throw Parker's baby blanket on the ground and call it a "picnic".
We're enjoying packing up our picnic basket and having lunch on the living room floor (1st picture) or out in the front yard (Pepe packed the lunch above).

As the talking refrigerator says, 'it's been "mag-ni-fique"' (say that with a French accent, it's actually pretty cute!)

ps...our picnic blanket in the outdoor picture is actually an old sleeping bag of Pepe's...I just love the pattern and colors!

#442 - cousins

There are so many things I love about this photo!

~there is a 6 year age difference between these 2
~but Makena treats Oster like a friend/playmate, she watches out for him and plays with him!

~I love these 2 chairs...the wood one is from a thrift store (only $4) and the red one is from Pepe's grandparents

~And isn't Makena's shirt cute...love the yellow stripes

Thanks Makena for being such a great cousin to Oster!

#387 - free cupcakes

The night before Kar and BT left, we were walking through the mall at closing time. I saw a Cinnabon employee (he must have seen my big belly and my cute sister) wave me and my sister over to give us free cupcakes.

Did you even know that Cinnabon does cupcakes? Honestly, I don't think I will buy one in the future, but for free...sure this pregnant woman will take one!

#375 - lilacs and butterflies

Recently Baby O gets really excited when he sees a flying insect, especially butterflies (he even thinks moths are butterflies). Sometimes I'll catch him staring at a plant for a long time and then I realize that he's looking at a bee/butterfly/moth.

Picture above is of our lilacs in bloom . . . i love lilacs, they remind me of my grandpa.

#369 - egg photos

Just some of my favorite egg photos I took on Easter.
I loved Michelle's idea of dying letters onto the Easter eggs, so I did the first initial of each of my nieces and nephews, plus Baby O's for our hunt.

I used painters tape (we've been remodeling) and cut out each letter (my cousin's way is much faster.) The tape wasn't super strong, so it left a cracked/tie dyed look on the eggs...I sort of liked it.

Most of the kids found their eggs, but Baby O seemed to have a lot of eggs with "O's" on them. Turns out that when other people dyed their eggs and left them to dry, they created a circular pool of the color...making an "O".

Pepe hid this egg up in a tree (wait, of course you know it is a tree.)

Just sharing the above picture of me taking photos of the eggs...this is probably the closest you'll get to seeing me 8 months pregnant :)

#366 - Easter Links

1...In case you don't want to make s'mores with your peeps...here's another fun idea.
2...Love my cousins idea on making "ABC" eggs . . .this and this are cute ideas too.
3...I think Baby O would love this tool box from the Easter Bunny
4...Can the Easter Bunny please bring me this chocolate bunny and one every week thereafter, until the baby is born?
5...Cute lamb pillows seem so Easter to me.
6...Totally loving this Cherry Blossom Family photo for Spring. I'm trying to talk Pepe into going downtown to take a family picture like this before I get too big with child.
