#462 - taking a walk in the middle of nowhere

Oster and Pepe took many walks in the middle of nowhere while we drove across the county.

And I watched from the backseat of the car as I fed Parker.

#403 - 3 Things, 3 Hours, Philly

When BT and Kar (my siblings) were here, we went to Philadelphia, PA for 3 hours and we decided to do 3 things.

Here they are in no particular order (well, I guess the order in which we did them, but not the order of my preference):#1 - Philly Cheese Steak
*We went to Jim's Steaks
*Cost about $10, but we split it between the 3 of us (Baby O didn't want to eat it)
*My siblings are super healthy, that's why we got a cheese steak with all those veggies
*If I were to order it, I would have gotten it authentic with Cheesewhiz (notice the look on my face to the far right...I'm thinking "where's the Cheesewhiz?")
#2 - Liberty Bell and Independence Hall
*Independence Hall is where the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution were adopted
*Liberty Bell wasn't crowded at all (we went during the week)...which was great for Baby O
*Loved the big grassy area...glad my siblings were there to entertain Baby O
*My pregnant belly makes an appearance again...about 35 weeks here...it's as big as the bell!#3 - Rocky Stairs
*Baby O was sleeping, so I stayed in the car, while Kar and BT ran the stairs and hung on the Rocky Statue
*Philadelphia has a beautiful skyline

The one thing we missed was "West Philadelphia". Kar wanted to see where the Fresh Prince was born and raised...and the playgrounds where he spent most of his days.

#214 - County Fair

After I saw this post, we decided to go to our county fair. Here are some pics from our trip. They're big photos!

We totally dressed up Baby O in his cowboy gear. He wore his cowboy boots his grandparents got for him.

(side note: I will not take Baby O to the fair again until his is much older. He went crazy with all the lights and noise and didn't clam down for 2 days!)

#212 - Chillin in DC

Just a few pictures from this last weekend's trip to DC with Aunt Kar. Baby O has so much fun flying in the air with Kar and running around on the mall.

#209 - Kennedy Procession

Kar, Baby O and I made a last minute trip to DC yesterday. Driving by the Washington Monument, we noticed people lined up along the street. Turns out they were waiting for the Ted Kennedy Funeral Procession, so we decided to stop and watch.

It was actually pretty cool and I was super impressed with the entire Kennedy Family. We got to see them all (along with John Kerry).

#195 - Amish Scooters

We saw these when were in Pennsylvania 2 weeks ago and I can totally see Kar riding one of these around at BYUI in the fall.

#165 - Part 2 (of 3) Chocolate World

Yep, on my day off this week, our second stop was Hershey's Chocolate World. (first stop here.) Loads of fun and it was free.

There's a free ride that takes you on a chocolate tour. Think Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Ride meets Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The ride has this super loud music with lyrics like, "eat chocolate, it's the best chocolate in the world, chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate...yum, yum, eat, eat" or something like that (brainwashing). They even spray chocolate smell into the air.

After the ride, they let you out into a massive store of chocolate and candy. Yikes! Here's a couple more photos:

#162 - Part 1 (of 3)- Intercourse, PA

No, this is not a 3 part post on where babies come from . . .. . . rather, I took a last minute day off from work and jammed 3 big trips into one day. Here's the first part of the trip with my sister, my brother, his wife (pregnant with Baby O's first cousin on my side of the family) and Baby O.

We went to Intercourse, PA, yes, that is the name of the city.
It's a small Amish town.

We went to Intercourse Pretzel Factory, got a free tour and learned how to make pretzels.

Next, we went to Kitchen Kettle Village. My favorite store was the Jam kitchen, they had over 80 jams you could sample. I ended up buying rhubarb jam, low sugar raspberry jam and these cute cookie cutters.

#62 - Prune Bags

These, not these.

2 July's ago, when I was in Buenos Aires, Argentina for work, my boss bought me a prune bag (see above) from Prune. If you ever go to Argentina, you should absolutely check Prune out, and then when you're runny low on money, head over to Murillo street, to get all the really good deals on leather goods.

#14 - Football in the Fall

Last weekend, Pepe, Baby O and I went to my cousin Matt's football game at SVU (Southern Virgina University). It was probably one of the most exciting games I've seen, they won in overtime. And we even saw this guy there.

Afterwards, we ate at Frank's for the Memories (don't you just love that name for a resturaunt), took us on a tour of SVU and then went off roading at the site of the new football fields.
