#514- homemade pumpkin leaf card
Oster and I made these in about 5 minutes yesterday.
Here's how:
1. find a leaf that looks like a pumpkin, the more alive it is the better (dry leaves just fall apart)
2. fold leaf in half tear out an eye hole, nose and mouth (see pic above)
3. glue leaf to a card and you can also put a heavy book on top to help it stick.
that's it...it was super fun trying to find pumpkin leaves!
Happy Halloween!

#512 - Price is Right - watch today!
1st - love this Price is Right Costume. It would be a pretty easy costume to make for Halloween. Foam board, poster board, name tag that you could easily make with a manila folder and sharpie; wire and black foam for the microphone; and string to put around your neck...easy peisy! oh, and your favorite college sweatshirt...
2nd - watch the Price is Right today! My brother's fiance is going to be on it. She's at the end of the show...can't wait to see it! Go Taylor!
*post edit - i've been MIA on this blog, but i just discovered an old unpublished comment from 2011. Ben, who is the man in this picture, posted that it was him, so to give credit where credit is long deserved, here's a link to his original costume....one of the coolest costumes out there.

#393 - Cinco de Mayo - What to Wear (part 2 of 4)
There are so many cute outfits/jewlery/hats that have a Mexican flair, but here are some of my favorites Cinco de Mayo ideas because they are subtle.Love the simplicity of these lime earrings.
Any of these Mexican charms would be cute on a necklace or bracelet.
I think this stamp necklace would be easy to make...just need someone to send me a letter from Mexico. In fact, I think this would be fun to make from locations that have a significance to me (ie: Brazil, Canada, Argentina).
And isn't this the cutest Cinco de Mayo Onesie.
Wait...I'm even more crazy...there's more Cinco de Mayo posts in the next 2 days (I really only have 2 days left, right?)
#392 - Cinco de Mayo Ideas/Decorations/Invites (part 1 of 4)
Cute Cinco de Mayo invites here and here.Straw flower decorations.
Love No Biggie's photo booth idea.
Red Roko's easy to make maraca and sombrero.
And for the toddler in your life...Spanish Flash Card decorations.
Or you could make a pinata.
And some more Cinco de Mayo ideas.
But wait...I think I am crazy...I have another post coming up later today with "what to wear" Cinco de Mayo style.

#369 - egg photos
Just some of my favorite egg photos I took on Easter.
I used painters tape (we've been remodeling) and cut out each letter (my cousin's way is much faster.) The tape wasn't super strong, so it left a cracked/tie dyed look on the eggs...I sort of liked it.Friday, April 2, 2010

We had a warm day on Sunday and decided to have a bonfire to burn our Christmas Tree - yikes...it's been way too long!
And since we had some Peeps lying around, we made Peeps S'mores.
And since we had some Peeps lying around, we made Peeps S'mores.

They looked a bit creepy when we were cooking and eating them.
But they were good. They had a melted sugary shell...too sweet for chocolate.Sunday, January 31, 2010
