Our whole family loves watching the IT Crowd on Netflix...it's a British comedy about people working in the IT department.   FUNNY!  Ok, I have to admit, when I first watched it, I wasn't hooked...but hold out...it's funny!

I have such good memories of tv shows from my childhood:

Small Wonder
Cosby Show
Facts of Life
Webster
Different Strokes
Leave it to Bever

But,
the show I think about almost daily is
Out of this World (ahh...the day of long intros)..would you like to swing on a star?
Do you remember this show?


You might ask why I think about this show daily?
Well, this picture below says it all:

It left such an impression on me that I think,

"Oh, I wish I could just touch my fingers together and stop time!"

Wouldn't that be nice?

Yes, I know it's not possible...

But I can always dream, right...

Time flies way way way too fast!

ps, casi, did you know "Evie" is in the new 90201...not that I've ever seen it :) 

#474 - What Would You Do?

I don't watch a ton of tv and the tv I do watch is almost always on hulu (ie: a lot less commercials). Really addicted to What Would You Do? right now.  Have you ever seen it?

My favorite clip is above and second here.  (you might have to click through to see the video if you are reading in Reader).  I alwasy tear up when I watch these types of shows.

#225 - 16 and Pregnant

Ok, I so don't condone kids getting pregnant at 16, but I'll admit, this show was my guilty pleasure all summer.

My favorite episode was about a girl who decided to give her baby up for adoption. Wow, it was powerful!

Me = tears. I work on a lot of pregnancy shows (not this one), so you know if it tugs my heart, it's a good one.

It was amazing how this young girl was being unselfish and thinking about her child instead of herself. I really hope this show becomes an adoption advocate.

Producers note: I loved the graphics and transitions in this show. Great storytelling too.

#113 - Taking the Stage

Not usually a fan of MTV, but loved this show. Even Pepe loved it, ok maybe he just liked it, but still it's hard for us to agree on our tv viewing.

OK, since I work in tv, I get that people ham it up for the camera and some things are faked. That being said, it's refreshing to see a show (think Step Up) about talent (with some love stories intertwined) and less about who's wearing what and/or people cheating around.

Did anyone else see this?

#3 - LOUD Family

Pepe and I (and Baby O before he was born) had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with this family. I met them through work and then they invited Pepe and I over to their campground for dinner. They made yummy chicken over the fire and we hung out with them for a while just chatting about our lives. I hope they stop by when they are in town again, we now have a place big enough to host them.

If you want to see them, they are on TLC (tonight) and some other days too.
